For LV and Tortricidae...Take heart, The Sideshow Jackman 12" is pretty good in the 'likeness dept. as is the Marvel Studios 12" Woverine..Both have better than average portraits of "Your Hugh"
As far as Viggo goes..Neca is doing an 18" Aragorn that is the best likeness yet of him.

(Now if someone would just get a really good likeness of Carrie Fisher from the 'Return of the Jedi'..I'd be happier.) Ah well at least SOTA got Angelina Jolie pretty well from Tomb Raider [img]cool.gif[/img]
I do like the Frank fig. I got one of the early ones, and I grabbed one of the newer ones (with the transparent brain and stomach, for it's wacky factor- paint job sucks compared to the first one).
The girl wins points for looking like a cool Gypsy, but loses more for the action feature and the fact that her gear could've been made better. Dracula and the wolf, ug. Actually I thought the Hugh head sculpt looked sorta like our own Max the Irish spawn, long hair and all that.

Watching the Lowdown special on Sci-Fi got me really psyched for the movie, though I've been planning the custom for the last few months.
Thinking about picking up Frankenstein once the figures go on clearance and then repainting him. Same goes for Castle Dracula, which will get a major overhaul... perhaps incorporating the McFarlane Monsters Dr. Frankenstein playset?

there's quite a few good Hugh and Viggos actually, try Helm's Deep Aragorn or the Strider figure, and some of the X2 figures aren't bad, one jus thas a long neck [img]wink.gif[/img]

Apparently I will be getting my Van Helsing 12" figure from Sideshow this friday, I'll let you guys know about the likeness and overall figure...
snagged series 2 Helsing today. pretty decent. not a fan of the action feature and wish there was a bit more articulation and weapons, but it's not too bad. proabably pick up frank at some point as well...
